Game Day Information

When do games start?

Games will begin Immediately after Labor Day, with the first schedule games on September 2.

What should we bring to the game?

Generally you bring the same items to a game as practices: shin guards, cleats (preferred, athletic shoes acceptable), water and the correct size ball. 8U and below use size 3. 10U and 12U use size 4. Above 12U uses size 5.

Where do I find the game schedule?

In the Team Central menu, choose Team Directory. Then click on the Calendar link for your team.

How do I find the field?

The field is listed on your Calendar event. Click the location to display a map. Each game has a location (ex: "Delia Park") and a field (ex: "S-2").

A note about Delia Park:

Delia has TWO sections. The main park off of 18 Mile Rd. has the full-sized fields and two medium fields (for 10U). The small fields (for 6U and 8U) are only accessible from Ryan Rd. This is also where the tennis courts and dog park are located. This will show as Delia Park East in the schedule.

What jersey color should I wear?

Wear blue if you are the home team and red if you are the away team. However, always bring both jerseys. We don't always know what color an out-of-region team might be. And sometimes... stuff happens. We should always have a backup.

Is there an app for that?

Yes! The MOJO app available for both Android and iPhone will provide communication to your coach as well as roster and schedule information.

Sorry, No dogs (or other pets) allowed

We're sure Fido is the best-behaved, most-loveable pooch in the world. However, some kids are not accustomed to dogs or other pets. Zoophobia is one of the most common fears in children and pet allergies are some of the most common among people. In keeping with our national policies and guidelines, we do not allow pets at the field.

What if we can't be at the game or practice?

Coaches make lineups and practice plans ahead of the event. Please let them know well in advance if you cannot attend. The most useful tool for team communication is the Game Changer app (see above). It allows direct messaging as well as an event RSVP. If it is two hours or less prior to the event, please call or send a direct message to the coach.

Oh behave!

Players play. Coaches coach. Parents cheer! Your kids won't hear you telling them what to do at every step of the way. But the officials and the opposing sideline will hear every little comment you make. This isn't world cup soccer and we aren't playing for a spot in the playoffs. Don't like the call? Oh well. That's part of the game and the game will go on. Good Sportsmanship is one of our core philosophies and we expect our sidelines to be a good example just as much as the players.

If an official deems a sideline to be unruly or unsportsmanlike, the coach will be asked to address the behavior. Parents and coaches may be dismissed from the field for bad sideline behavior. Anyone who is dismissed from the game will be suspended for the following game on the first offence. As of 2025, the national Referee Abuse Policy (RAP) is in effect. Anyone whose behavior falls into the category of referee abuse will receive a minimum two-game suspension. These offenses are reported to U.S. Soccer and will be enforced by all soccer organizations nationwide. Referee abuse will not be tolerated by coaches, parents or players. Repeat offenders could be banned from soccer anywhere in the U.S.

For more information, please see our Code of Conduct page or Referee Abuse Policy.

Let's keep it positive out there!
